DowAksa is a joint venture between The Dow Chemical Company and AKSA (Akrilik Kimya Sanayii A.S., Istanbul, Turkey, the world’s largest acrylic fiber manufacturer). AKSA began to produce carbon fiber in 2008. The joint venture was formed in 2012.
DowAksa’s carbon fibers are marketed under the tradename of AKSACA™.
The business strategy formulated by DeLong and DowAksa primarily focuses on industrial converters of carbon fiber for a wide range of composite components and processes.
